About Alexander Gino's service

I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Hawaii and a national certified addiction counselor. I have over 7 years experience working with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, addiction, mood disorders, grief, and trauma. I believe in a strengths-based and humanistic approach to mental health treatment in which I help clients to identify and shift from maladaptive/less sustainable coping strategies to more adaptive/sustainable coping strategies. My approach is trauma-informed and combines psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based counseling. I am passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and helping to make high-quality mental health care accessible for all. In my free time, I enjoy camping, harvesting, playing soccer, shooting pool, and composing music.
