Alexandria Lara is a licensed professional counselor with over four years of experience providing counseling-related services. She has a diverse background, having worked in private practice, a university community counseling clinic, and a behavioral and mental health outpatient clinic. Recently, she has focused on providing individual, group, and family counseling to unaccompanied minors seeking reunification in the United States. Alexandria has expertise in addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, and daily life issues such as finances, relationships, and careers. Her experience working with individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder and sexual abuse and trauma has allowed her to empower clients through teaching healthy coping skills and promoting positive self-regard. Alexandria utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and the humanistic approach, depending on the client’s preferences and needs.
