As a Clinician for over a decade helping clients work through life changes, trauma, cognitive functioning, depression and anxiety- I find the most important factors in healing is to address the symptoms, process any underlying struggles and work to gain skills not just to survive -but thrive. I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from University of Maryland, with a dual concentrating in Management & Community organizing and Clinical Therapy with Families and Children (graduation 2012). I received my LCSW-C in 2014 and became a certified Supervisor in 2015. Prior to getting my MSW I worked in Treatment Foster Care, Residential Treatment Centers, in Domestic Violence Shelters, and extensively with the Special Needs population. Since getting my Masters I have worked as school-based clinician helping students working through trauma, homelessness, anxiety, depression and grief. Ive also worked as a school-based clinician providing services and support to students and families with all levels of Autism Spectrum and Asperger’s Syndrome. And most recently I have provided direct-care and Executive leadership to an agency that provides support to Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Survivors. My approach is to provide solution-focused, client-centered support that allows everyone to have a safe space to process their stories and regroup in order to have their most successful life.
