Allison Lopez

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. I earned my Master’s Degree at Wake Forest University in 2016 and have been practicing ever since. I specialize in depression, anxiety, adapting to life changes, relationship/marriage counseling, family/parenting issues and kids/teens. I also help people come past traumas including childhood abuse, sexual abuse, death/loss, divorce and many other difficult life circumstances. I employ an empathetic and respectful approach to counseling that emphasizes your strengths and your goals for change. When you work with me, I want you to feel seen, heard and understood. Using a compassionate, Cognitive Behavioral approach, I will help you identify what areas of life are causing you the most distress, narrow down your therapy goals, build a plan that fits your personality and needs and regularly assess the progress of your therapy to ensure the quality of your treatment. It can be scary to open up to a stranger. Know that, like you, I have made mistakes in life and have weaknesses and struggles. None of us are perfect! I am not here to judge you or make you feel bad. I am here to listen, understand and empower you to live the life you have been striving to live!
