Allyson Barnes

Hi! My name is Allyson and I am a therapist working in Tennessee. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor – Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Auburn University and my Education Specialist/Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clemson University. The quote I base my practice off is, “Everything I am looking for, I can find within myself.” I truly believe that we all have the strengths, resources, and abilities we need inherently. It is my goal to assist you in getting one step closer to living a more authentic, healthy, and fulfilling life. I am experienced in working with adults overcoming addiction, relationship issues, and mental health struggles. I strive to provide my clients with insight into their problems, help with interpersonal issues, and work towards helping them become empowered. I have a holistic approach to counseling which includes principles of CBT, motivational interviewing, 12-step, existential, and solution focused therapies. I believe in treating everyone with respect, honesty, sensitivity and most importantly in a non-judgmental manner. I am available for messaging and phone sessions.
