Amanda Falkers

Hello! My name is Amanda Falkers and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing counseling services for the last 5 years. I have always been passionate to empower others and help them through life’s journey. I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Viterbo University in 2015. Since this time I decided to go back to school to receive my Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision. I have experience working with adults, families and couples and am certified in substance use and addiction treatment. I also have experience with holistic wellness, addictions, depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD and other mental health disorders, as well as integrating overall spiritual wellness into my overall practice. I take an integrative approach to treatment focusing on building a trusting relationship first and foremost. An integrative approach is a blend of elements from different approaches and the tailoring of treatment according to each client’s needs. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and spending time outdoors in the country. It is nice to warm up with s’mores next to a nice campfire, or in the cold Winter months cuddle up with a good book or watch a movie. I am passionate about wellness and self-care. Those who know me would describe me as having an approachable personality and compassion for others.
