I began my career working with patients with end stage renal disease where I provide emotional, social, and financial support for dialysis patients. This experience working with patients with life-limiting illness has taught me that we all have strengths and can persevere when faced with even the hardest challenges. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. I have four years’ experience working with patients in the healthcare industry. I have received training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based practices. I have experience treating individuals with symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, and life transitions. I hope that people who seek therapy will (a) find that there are good reasons for their struggles, issues, or symptoms, (b) understand their struggles are opportunities for healing, achieving goals, and improving their quality of life, and (c) develop strategies to move through blocks, get unstuck, and change behaviors that no longer serve them and improve their relationships. It is important for people to work with a therapist they trust and feel is an ally. I work from a basic value system of respecting the dignity and worth of each person. I look forward to working with you!
