About Anna McIver's service

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience as a psychotherapist working with individuals, couples, and families. I have a client centered approach using a combination of mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. I believe in working alongside clients to identify their needs and goals and empowering them to make the changes necessary to meet them. I have worked primarily with mood disorders, grief and loss, chronic illness, parenting struggles, and infertility and individuals and couples trying to conceive. I have a warm, compassionate style and believe in the importance of emotional attunement and rapport in building a therapeutic relationship. It can be incredibly difficult to verbalize a need for help and creating a space that feels safe and hopeful, is of the utmost important to me. I look forward to working with you!
