I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker with over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. I received my Master of Social work degree from Cal State East Bay focusing on community mental health in 2013. Within the last 8 years, I have worked at the West Contra Costa Youth Service Bureau as a Clinician providing counseling to youth ages 7-18. Many of the youth I serve have been exposed to multiple traumatic events including domestic violence, and community violence. Many of the clients I service I have a wide variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, suicide ideation, irritable and angry outburst, isolation, and low impulse control. I have also served as a clinical intern for 5 years at the Northern California Family Center where I provided individual psychodynamic therapy to children and adults diagnosed with ADHD, General Anxiety, Depression, and Pica. Additionally, I supported families and couples with conflict resolution. I have a warm and friendly approach to the clients I serve. I am passionate, nonjudgmental, and listen to clients’ needs. I have a resourceful approach to the clients I work with and support them with identifying immediate needs prior to addressing therapeutic needs. I believe in empowering others and supporting others with finding their true self. I have used seeking safety, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy when working with my existing clients.
