April Crummie

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina. In 2017, I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelors of Psychology. In 2019, I graduated from Louisiana State University with a Masters of Social Work. I have 3 years of professional work experience after completing my education. I have worked in different therapeutic settings such as, outpatient treatment and residential treatment. I have experience with helping clients in a wide range of areas in their life including; stress, anxiety, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, and depression. I also have experience working with, coping with life changes. In my professional career I have worked with adults and adolescents. I’m a strong believer in providing compassion to the individuals that I work with. I believe in empowering individuals to reach their goals and assist where appropriate. I utilize evidence-based approach with cognitive behavioral therapy. I also enjoy using; problem solving, solution focused and motivational interviewing therapy techniques. I believe in providing an open and safe environment where your thoughts and feelings are welcomed to be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step, to sign up for therapy, took courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
