Ashley Hence

Ashley Hence, a Licensed Professional Counselor with twelve years of experience in mental health, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Central Arkansas and her Masters at The University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She firmly believes in the potential for individuals to change and grow, and values partnering with clients to help them achieve their goals. Throughout her career, Ms. Hence has worked with adults, adolescents, and children, using effective and established treatment methods such as Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) therapy. Her experience includes working with serious and chronic mental health diagnoses in various settings, including inpatient and residential facilities, non-profit agencies, private practice, and community counseling agencies. She has worked at The Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County in Plano, where she assisted adults, teens, children, families, and couples affected by sexual/physical abuse and neglect. Her work focused on helping clients develop healthy coping skills, strengthening family relationships, and addressing communication struggles. Additionally, she worked for The Department of Rehabilitation Counselor as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, specializing in working with individuals with physical and mental disabilities.
