Hello There! How are you? As you search to find the right therapist for you, I welcome you to get to know more about me, Atlantis Gothe, LMHC. I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician who graduated from New York University (NYU) in 2012 with my MA in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness. Throughout my career, I have practiced in schools, community agencies, trauma clinics, social services, & private practice. I look to create an open grounded space with clients where we can address your emotions, wellness, and concerns while creating daily life practices that support your mental health. In terms of my therapeutic approach, I tend to focus on my clients’ needs and what I feel will best serve them instead of gravitating towards one particular model of therapy. We work together on what best suits/helps you. That said, I put an emphasis on being creative and considering the whole life of a person and will often draw from various models including a Person-centered approach, healing justice, reality therapy, CBT, and narrative therapy. It is my goal to help individuals increase their ability to enact positive change in their lives and provide support to make those transformations. Through counseling I hope to help my clients feel cared for, empowered, and able. I look forward to getting to know more about you and working with you.
