BALYNDA BAUGHMAN

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida with a master’s degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University. I have many years of experience in counseling working with individuals and groups. Often I found that people want to be heard, understood, validated, and supported. In addition, they want to be inspired and motivated to live the life they deserve. Often perceived as the “strong one” by family, friends, and society, they may have become emotionally fatigued. Together we can discover what mental and emotional roadblocks prevent you from finding your “happy space” and learn how best to navigate those challenges. This process should include a safe/comfortable place, open communication, and honesty. We can work together to change your current narrative. I take a holistic approach to assist you with issues such as anxiety, hopelessness, depression, anger management, and suicidal idealization. Assisting you in learning how to be intentional and work to develop healthier coping skills. By using CBT, ACT, MI models and Mindfulness, we will work toward you accepting your feelings and thoughts, discovering your strengths and creating goals to increase your awareness of your ability to be “happy”.
