Bethany Shrewsbury

Bethany Shrewsbury is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Board Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors. She is a Certified EMDRIA Consultant and Certified EMDR therapist, specializing in the treatment of Grief/Loss and Trauma recovery. Bethany has extensive experience working with Veterans to resolve trauma contributing to PTSD and Complex-PTSD, as well as crisis stabilization. She is passionate about working with individuals who have experienced loss and providing support in grief management. Bethany is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), certified in Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and trained in Motivational Interviewing and Children’s Play Therapy. She earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University and has worked for the Local Mental Health Authority for four years before transitioning to work in the Children and Adolescent Psychiatry Department for TTUHSC. Bethany has worked in various settings, including the Crisis Stabilization Unit, Veterans Clinic, Central Outpatient Services, and Court Services as a Forensic therapist.
