Betty J. McCarty LPC is a highly experienced Licensed Professional Counselor, specializing in working with individuals who have faced hardships or traumas such as natural disasters, violence, war, divorce, and change. With over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, Betty has developed expertise in addressing symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, addictions, dissociation, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive behaviors/disorders, and self-harming behaviors. Her primary focus is on working with adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma. Betty is dedicated to creating a therapeutic environment that is person-centered, non-judgmental, and supportive, encouraging individuals to grow through change and their own healing. She firmly believes in the inherent ability of every individual to heal from life’s traumas and move towards wholeness in body, mind, and spirit.
