Trauma, stress, and burnout can contribute to depression, anxiety, and difficulty in our relationships with loved ones. Unhealthy attachment styles and avoidance tendencies only make things worse. So why do we react that way? People develop survival skills when they are used to living in crisis, but sometimes these skills turn into self sabotaging behaviors. Through therapy we will find ways to adapt your survival skills to healthier coping skills. You have had to be strong to make it to where you are now, and you should be proud of yourself for that! I hope to help you create a safe space where you can get the rest you deserve By processing the stressors you’re experiencing and the factors in your life which complicate them, you can develop a plan of attack and feel validated in your emotions while doing so. Incorporating cognitive behavioral skills and coping strategies can help address current stressors and past traumas that impact your ability to function in your daily life. You don’t have to be in crisis to ask for help. Allow yourself the chance to feel better and more like the version of yourself you want to be by prioritizing yourself and your mental health.
