Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado. I have 5 years of experience working as a mental health therapist. I recently moved to Colorado from Pennsylvania because the mountains called, and I believe in creating a life worth living. In Pennsylvania I worked for an outpatient center in Pennsylvania where I was therapist for their partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program, and started 2 outpatient groups. I worked primarily with adolescent & young adults but also with adults of all ages. I have the most experience serving: persons experiencing difficulties functioning, school avoidance, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, LGBTQ+, family conflict/dysfunction, impulsive behaviors, grief, and relationship issues. I also have some background working with persons who are coping with: learning disorders, and/or ADHD/ADD. I use a person-centered and holistic approach to therapy. I believe that each person is capable of growth, self-love, and healing. It is my goal to work with you and help you take ownership of your treatment. I do believe that mental health education is key, and I love to help my client learn how to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to improve their skills, learn about themselves, and create the life that you deserve. I have training and experience in mindfulness as well. Cultural competency is particularly important to me and I value on-going cultural education. I look forward to working with you!
