Callie Aswegen

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who works with individuals, couples, and families across the life span from childhood through older adulthood. I particularly enjoy working with adolescents and young adults, as they work through anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, or relational issues. In my approach, I use an understanding of normal psychological development, as well as attention to social/relational, multicultural, and biological factors in working collaboratively with clients to create effective ways to improve their lives. I help clients identify areas of strength and to access resources from within themselves and in their larger communities to assist in their treatment. My experience includes: Anxiety, Depression, Career/Vocation, Self/Esteem/Worth, Spirituality, Coping Skills, Loss, Relationship Issues, Health/Wellness, Life Transitions/Adjustment, Eating Disorders, Substance Abuse and Trauma. I use a variety of treatment approaches including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, expressive therapies and relaxation and stress reduction techniques.
