Hi there! I am glad you took this step towards healing and growth. Whatever your specific struggles are, I can help lead you towards their resolution. My approach is to create a safe and grounded space for you while getting to the root of your issue. Healing from a foundational place will create lasting changes over time. As we uncover these deeper layers, I make sure that you feel grounded and maintain a sense of calm and safety. My goal is to help you heal, grow, become more resilient and feel confident in facing whatever life may present to you in the future. I also work with you to help you move from simply surviving to actually thriving. I look forward to beginning this journey with you. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have a master’s degree in counselor education. I have experience in anxiety and trauma counseling and have run anxiety groups in the past. I utilize a holistic approach to therapy and pull from multiple counseling disciplines in order to tailor the therapy for each individual. Some of these include: Emotion-Focused Therapy, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, ACT, DBT, Existential Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Schema Therapy. I was also a dance instructor for many years and know the importance of movement and art in the healing process. I am able to incorporate my training in this area with some clients as needed as well.
