Caren Gayle

Caren Gayle is a highly experienced and dedicated clinical supervisory social worker with a strong focus on providing therapy to individuals dealing with anger management issues, trauma, including combat and assault-related PTSD, as well as grief and loss counseling. With almost a decade of experience, Caren has worked extensively with both veterans and non-veterans in various clinical and residential settings. As an Army veteran herself, Caren initially served military families as a liaison, offering support and guidance during deployment separation and post-combat injuries. She later transitioned into residential treatment centers, where she provided assistance to troubled youth with a range of diagnoses, from depression and anxiety to severe conduct disorder, psychosis, and substance abuse. During this time, Caren also worked closely with families to facilitate healing and reunification. Currently working at the VA, Caren specializes in helping veterans with PTSD, anxiety, sleep disorders, grief and loss, and other individual needs. She strongly believes in empowering her clients through education, encouraging them to actively participate in their own care. Caren’s approach is direct and non-judgmental, always ensuring that her clients know that their treatment journey is centered around their unique needs and goals.
