Carol Fisher

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. Since I acquired my license I have worked with a variety of people, those with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use. I previously worked for the court system, for non-profit substance abuse agencies, and in private practice. My experience has helped me realize that individuals are not an illness or a label but rather persons with extenuating circumstances that contribute for their reasons for seeking help. I have experience working with persons suffering from anxiety, depression substance use, relationship issues divorce, family conflict, grief and gender dysphoria. Additionally, I have worked with client involving self-confidence/self-esteem, coping skills and every day issues. My hope is to help people improve their relationships, find their authentic self and/or at least not feel alone. Because each individual has a different reason for seeking help, I use an eclectic approach to counseling involving Narrative therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, and solution Focused Therapy. whether it be individual counseling or couples counseling my goal is to help you find inner peace.
