Casey DeGroot

Casey DeGroot is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas, specializing in helping individuals, couples, and families achieve their life goals. With over 15 years of experience, Casey has worked with clients of all ages, including teens, adults, and struggling parents. She takes a highly individualized approach to therapy, utilizing various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused therapy, Psychoanalytic therapy, and Mindfulness. Casey’s passion lies in bringing hope and healing to families and individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, parenting, and marriage struggles. While not a Christian therapist specifically, she believes that exploring one’s spiritual beliefs is an important part of personal growth and healing. Casey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Houston. Throughout her career, she has worked in non-profit, private-practice, and educational settings, and has also served on various boards in the Houston area to promote mental wellness. Outside of her work, Casey is a pastor’s wife and a mother of two teenagers. She enjoys laughter, connecting over a cup of coffee with close friends, and spending quality time with her dog, Peaches.
