Life is full of events that help shape who we are. Some events that occur in our lives leaves us feeling hurt, alone, helpless, overwhelmed and can even bring us to question who we are or what we believe in. We are often left to cope with these events on our own. I am passionate about helping children, teens, and adults find hope during troubling times, and search to find a solution to help change their current circumstances. My name is Christine Gierer, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working at Ocala Recovery in Ocala, Florida, whose goal is to help individuals process those difficult life experiences, and not be defined by the events in their lives. I earned my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and Licensed Professional Counseling from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. I also completed a couple of semesters towards my Doctorate in Philosophy in Marriage & Family Therapy. I am trained in trauma, chemical addictions, process addictions, relationship issues, depression, and more. I specialize in working with Children, adolescents, and adults for individual, family or couples therapy. In my practice, I use a multitude of modalities to help my clients in the best way that I can. Those modalities include: Strategic Family Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Bowenian family therapy, Trauma Therapy, Play Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and more. Together, we can establish the therapeutic relationship to work through your presenting problem, and to give you the tools you need to cope with your past, present, or future circumstances.
