Hello, I am Colleen and I look forward to working with you toward your goals and overall well-being! When working with me, you will find a person-centered therapeutic approach of genuineness, warmth, a judgement free environment, flexibility, and space where you are treated as the expert of your own life. Seeking supportive services is not easy. It takes bravery and determination to let another person into your world. This is something that I honor and respect. I have six years of experience working in the mental health industry, with experience working with a wide variety of client concerns ranging from, anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, trauma/abuse, self-esteem, conflict, communication, and coping strategies. I have worked in several levels of mental healthcare, from inpatient hospitalization, partial and intensive outpatient services, residential substance use treatment, private practice, and college/university counseling. What this means is that I have experience in different areas to create individualized treatment for the clients that I work with. I see each of us as being different from the next; bringing our own unique style to each conversation and, therefore, each person should have treatment that is unique to them.
