Hi! My name is Deb Schooley. I am a licensed professional counselor licensed in Pennsylvania with over 9 years of experience. I graduated with a Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Shippensburg University. I have worked with individuals in a wide range of areas including depression, anxiety, substance use, life changes, grief, LGBTQ+, women’s’ issues, and trauma. I am committed to walking alongside people as they discover new things, face challenges and move towards goals that they have identified for themselves. I am passionate about creating a space where everyone feels welcomed, safe and empowered. I believe in taking a humanistic, client-centered approach in helping clients accomplish their counseling goals. I use a variety of different theoretical approaches with individuals because there is not one way of counseling people that works for everyone. During sessions you will guide the process and we will work together to find the tools and strategies that work best for you. My vision for my practice is to allow people to accomplish what they want in therapy. Each person’s journey will look different. It takes courage to start new things. I want to make that process easier and less stressful. I am here to provide guidance, support, empowerment, and care to each person I work with. I look forward to working with you!
