Welcome! It takes courage to reach out for help, and now that you have decided to seek assistance, I’m pleased you have made your way here. I believe that each of us has the strength we need inside of us to find solutions to the problems and difficulties we face in life. I would like to work with you to empower your voice and find the resources and offer the support you need. You don’t have to do this alone. Here is a little information about me and how I can support you: I have been licensed as a mental health counselor for 22 years I have worked with families, couples and individuals, and I have worked with individuals from ages four to eighty. My work has allowed me to help people with anxiety and depression, substance abuse issues, domestic violence, marital challenges, and parenting issues, work stress, and other issues that many people face on a day to day basis. My approach to therapy is to offer reflective listening to the things that are causing you stress and pain. Then, to work collaboratively with you to set goals and encourage your voice to improve your life experience. In my practice I use different interventions depending on what works best including solution focused, , cognitive behavioral therapy, and insights through indicators such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. I understand it take courage to reach out to a stranger for assistance, and I will work hard to earn your trust.
