Hi! My name is Debbie Bichachi, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida. I earned my B.A. from Brandeis University in Sociology and Psychology and my M.S.W. from Columbia University in Advanced Clinical Social Work. My specialty is in treating individuals with depression and anxiety disorders including OCD, phobias, panic, generalized anxiety and social anxiety. I am a Behavioral Treatment Therapy Institute (BTTI) graduate and I am clinically trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also integrate mindfulness exercises into my practice. My approach is goal-oriented, strength-based, warm and engaging. I strive to create an open, non-judgmental space for you to share your daily thoughts, fears, hopes and goals. As a team, we will create specific and gradual goals leading towards your long-term goals. We can use journaling and questionnaires to help create these goals and we can then navigate each one at a comfortable pace. By noticing the interplay of your thoughts and behaviors and emotions, and choosing a desired direction, we will be able to work towards your long-term goals. Ultimately, we are striving to not simply treat a problem, but to improve the overall quality and satisfaction of your life. I look forward to speaking with you. Please feel free to message me with any further questions.
