Deslynne Roberts

Ms. Deslynne Roberts ( she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of servicing children, youth, and families in a variety of settings. Ms. Deslynne Roberts’s experience includes, but is not limited to child/adult depression, anxiety/ anxiety-inducing behaviors, trauma-related stressors, PTSD, child-parent relationship issues, youth, and young adult issues, and a variety of relationship, personal and professional issues. As an experienced clinician, Deslynne has a proven track record of working with a range of diverse populations including LGBTQI+ or BIPOC individuals. She also has experience addressing work-related issues, compassion fatigue, self-care, and emotional wellbeing, diversity issues, to improve work-life balance issues for professionals. Deslynne values the importance of the individual story, and seeks to partner with her clients along their own journey towards self-awareness, self-discovery, healing, and hope. Deslynne believes that you – the client – are the author of your own story, and even with the twist and turns of life, she uses a client-centered, strength-based approach that allows you to gain control of your life; increase problem-solving and coping skills; build self-confidence, self-worth and feel confident to express your thoughts and feelings. Deslynne uses evidence-based interventions such as Solution Focused/ Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Attachment-based Intervention, and a range of Family Therapy modalities.
