Duane Harris

Hello. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialization in health psychology with over 15 years of experience. A health psychologist views people as whole beings, where psyche and soma (mind and body) are interconnected. I am a graduate of Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. I completed my post-doctorate at West Virginia University, School of Medicine and Behavioral Health. I am currently licensed in both West Virginia and Georgia. I have worked in a wide variety of clinical settings and populations, including psychiatric hospitals, counseling center, community behavioral health center, and forensic settings. The core of my therapeutic approach is person-centered, where you are the expert on you. Providing a warm and safe place for you to express yourself, where you are genuinely accepted is most important. While person-centered theory helps provide necessary conditions for change, I also use solution-focused, systems, strength-based, and cognitive-behavioral therapy to help you achieve your treatment goal(s). My primary areas of focus include chronic pain, anxiety, depression, stress, and health concerns.
