Eliza Welder

Eliza Welder is a licensed professional counselor and licensed chemical dependency counselor who specializes in working with adolescents and adults. With a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston-Victoria, Eliza has a strong background in trauma, addictions, depression and anxiety, as well as helping clients develop life goals and achieve overall well-being. Eliza’s approach to therapy is centered around collaboration, tailoring treatment to fit each client’s values, identity, and needs. She believes in creating a trusting therapeutic relationship, fostering mutual respect, and providing a safe space for clients to share their stories and feel heard. Eliza is goal-oriented and utilizes motivational interviewing techniques to guide clients towards their desired outcomes. She is dedicated to empowering clients by helping them recognize their individual strengths and building upon them to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and find healing and resiliency. During the initial visit, Eliza takes the time to get to know each client, exploring their hopes, dreams, psycho-social history, symptoms, family background, substance use, medical history, and any other concerns they may have. With Eliza’s support, clients can navigate the chapters of their lives and find their own unique story of growth and transformation.
