Elizabeth Barrera-Sepulveda

Elizabeth Barrera-Sepulveda is a licensed professional counselor with close to 15 years of experience in the field. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in Austin and a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Texas A & M University in Corpus Christi. Elizabeth has a strong background in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, particularly victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She has also worked with individuals dealing with mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD symptoms, as well as substance abuse issues. Elizabeth’s experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings has allowed her to facilitate groups and provide individual and couples counseling for various life stressors and changes. She has also worked as a crisis counselor in a shelter for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Elizabeth values diversity and takes into account different ethnicities, sexualities, and cultures in her therapeutic approach. She utilizes a client-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral approach to help clients achieve their goals.
