Let’s face it, life isn’t always easy. Just the fact that you’re reading this shows that you’re looking for some relief, some answers. The good news is that you don’t have to carry your burden alone. By sharing it, and learning more skillful ways of dealing with your life’s obstacles, you’ll soon realize that there truly is a light at the end of the tunnel. If you’re new to therapy, you should know that this is not a passive process. In other words, it takes your effort and input and persistence. But nothing worthwhile comes easily, right? If you’re willing to commit to the work, I’m willing to help you along this journey. For over 20 years, I have worked in a variety of settings helping individuals experience emotional healing. I have assisted those struggling with a wide range of mood disorders, relationship problems, and addictions. I have specialized experience and training in assisting those overcoming trauma including child sexual abuse. Over the years I’ve come to prefer Interpersonal Therapy, but also employ strategies and techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I have a profound respect for the strength of the human spirit and am often in awe of my own clients as they rise above their circumstances and learn find their own empowerment. It’s why I can’t imagine doing anything else. I live in the Philadelphia area and enjoy the arts and music scene here.
