Elizabeth Frietsch

Elizabeth Frietsch is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas with a specialization in working with adolescent and adult survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse. With extensive experience in this field since 2015, Elizabeth is skilled in using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based modality designed to reduce the effects of trauma. She understands that the impact of trauma can persist long after the event and is committed to helping clients process their past experiences, whether recent or distant. In addition to trauma, Elizabeth has also worked with individuals overcoming depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and attachment/intimacy fears. She is an inclusive therapist, providing a safe space for all individuals, including those on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum and those with diverse or no religious beliefs. As a foster/adoptive parent, Elizabeth has firsthand knowledge of navigating the Texas foster care system and is well-versed in the unique parenting stressors associated with raising children who have experienced trauma.
