Elizabeth Hernandez is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Licenced Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas. With a master’s degree in counseling with an emphasis in Addictions from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, she is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, completing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Elizabeth believes that each individual has the answers to their problems but sometimes needs direction and compassionate understanding to uncover those solutions. She uses proven, evidence-based strategies and psychoeducation to broaden clients’ awareness and insight into their presenting concerns. Elizabeth’s approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s needs, drawing from frameworks such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing Techniques. She has extensive experience working with adults on an individual level in various therapeutic settings, including outpatient substance abuse, inpatient psychiatry, community-based counseling, and indigent care.
