Emily Holmes

I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania with over 5 years of counseling experience. I have experience assisting clients with a wide range of concerns including relationship issues, anxiety, depression, disability conditions, low self-esteem, academic or career problems, communication issues, and trauma. I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients from all walks of life. Being present to my clients while they are processing their life experiences and authentic desires is an important aspect of my counseling approach. I believe that all individuals have the capacity for meaningful growth in an accepting, compassionate and constructive environment. My style is warm, supportive, conversational and in the moment. I work side-by-side with clients to help them explore their own strengths, abilities and existing resources as they navigate the ups and downs of life. With each session, I hope to provide clients with tools to help them feel better in the short term while developing tools for long term self-empowerment, wellness and personal growth. When I am not working, I enjoy reading and being outside as much as possible. I believe that nature and great books have wonderful therapeutic value so I try to incorporate them into my life frequently.
