Emily Sparks

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor and Master’s degree from Florida State University. I graduated in 2007 and have dedicated my life to helping others over the past 11 years. I have specialized experience in couples work, grief and loss, addiction and compulsive disorders, as well as working with children and teenagers. For the past two years, I have worked as a counselor for the Army and Air Force. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience regarding the military lifestyle and the unique challenges service members and their families face. My hope is to provide a safe and nurturing place for you to share your thoughts and struggles. It can be scary to reach out for help when we are feeling sad or overwhelmed. I use a personable, open approach with clients and focus on tangible goals that can be implemented to improve your quality of life. My therapeutic modalities include cognitive-behavioral therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, as well as narrative and art therapies. I believe creativity serves as one of life’s greatest gifts to restore healing. I also believe that we are our own best helper, and I will support you in your own journey to healing and happiness.
