Erin James

Erin James is a licensed professional counselor supervisor based in Texas with extensive experience in various areas of counseling. With a specialization in Christian-based counseling, Erin has successfully worked with adolescents on probation and their families, couples, families dealing with trauma and conflict, individuals seeking support from the LGTB+ community, those with eating disorders and complications with disordered eating, as well as individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. Originally from Bossier City, Louisiana, Erin moved to Dallas in 2003 to pursue her graduate studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, where she earned her Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling. Since becoming a licensed professional counselor in 2008, Erin has gained valuable experience in inpatient mental health hospitals, mobile psychological evaluations, intensive inpatient and outpatient assessments, marriage and family therapy, in-home counseling, and residential treatment centers. Her counseling approach aims to equip her clients with the necessary skills to navigate life’s challenges and achieve mental and physical wellness. In her leisure time, Erin cherishes moments spent relaxing with her husband, daughter, and their three dogs, Chewie, Meiko, and Brooklyn.
