Hello, and welcome to my page. My name is Felix, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas, an LMHC in Washington, ann CMHC (NH) and a National Certified Counselor. I consider myself a multicultural counselor with an eclectic approach when helping clients overcome barriers to their overall wellness. While I adopt an eclectic counseling approach, I view the clients I work with through a humanistic philosophy. This means I believe each person is the expert of their own lives, and I am here to guide you through overcoming barriers that hinder you from living a life full of vitality and flourishing. The modalities I use, depending on the client, include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, D.B.T. Skills Training, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Expressive Creative Arts, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Narrative therapy. My approach is tailored to my client’s specific needs and is always collaborative, ensuring that my clients have a say in how best to assist them. I offer individual and couples counseling to address various mental health and relationship concerns. My experience includes helping individuals overcome issues such as Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Major Depression, Adjustment, Stress, Anger Issues, Substance abuse addictions, Process addictions, Domestic Violence, LGBTQ concerns, Career Exploration, Coping with chronic illness, Bullying, Self-esteem, Specific phobias, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Trauma, and increasing overall wellness. In addition, I have experience working with couples to navigate relationship concerns, including pre-marital counseling, divorce, adjustment, and communication issues.
