Heather Alcala

Heather Alcala is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with over ten years of experience in substance use treatment, individual and group therapy. She has worked with individuals dealing with addiction, depression, anxiety, anger, grief/loss, and self-love. Heather has helped individuals find relief from past trauma and abuse while teaching them coping skills to navigate difficult situations. She believes in listening to her clients and assisting them in developing working solutions that address their needs. Heather utilizes modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Practices, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to support her clients on their healing journey. Her goals are to treat clients with respect, work at their preferred pace, provide support and encouragement, and help them get their needs met. Heather understands that life can be filled with overwhelming stress, and she is dedicated to providing a relaxing and safe setting for clients to receive the support they need. She is committed to being a part of their healing process and assisting them in moving forward towards their goals.
