Heather Harris

Heather Harris is a highly experienced therapist with over 19 years of work in the social work field. With a specialization in working with the Veteran population for the past 14 years, Heather has developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges and needs of this group. She has also worked extensively with survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence, providing them with the necessary support and guidance. Heather holds an undergraduate degree in social work from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX, and completed her master’s in social work in 2004 from the University of Denver. Her expertise extends to working in an outpatient behavioral clinic, where she has helped individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Drawing from her knowledge of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), Heather has successfully assisted many clients on their recovery journey, addressing issues such as sexual assault trauma, domestic violence trauma, grief and loss, and moral injury. Throughout her practice, Heather prioritizes creating a genuine, positive, respectful, and safe therapy experience for her clients.
