James Caldwell

James Caldwell is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the field. He obtained his Master’s degree in counseling from The University of North Texas in 1998 and has worked in both clinical and educational settings. James specializes in providing therapy to individuals, families, and couples, addressing a wide range of clinical issues including anxiety, depression, anger and stress management, family conflict, parenting, relationship issues, and adjusting to unexpected changes in everyday life. He believes that everyone deserves happiness, contentment, and a sense of satisfaction in their relationships and themselves. James understands that life’s challenges can sometimes derail us from achieving these goals, and therapy provides an opportunity to deeply understand the obstacles and discover new coping strategies. He emphasizes that it is not the stress itself but our reactions to it that lead to emotional disturbance, and by changing our thinking patterns, we can change how we feel and behave. James recognizes that many clients feel stuck or overwhelmed, and he aims to provide a supportive and encouraging environment where goals can emerge and coping strategies can be developed.
