Jamie Frederick

Hello! My name is Jamie Frederick and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) located in Illinois. I have over 7 years of experience counseling adults, teenagers, and children in community, school, and clinical settings. I have worked with clients experiencing a variety of challenges, such as depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, phase of life changes, relationship issues, PTSD, LGBTQ concerns, and more. My approach is very supportive, encouraging, and direct. I also enjoy including some humor, when appropriate and welcomed by the individual client. We may do some hard work in our sessions and I will challenge you to confront what’s holding you back from happiness and success while I support, guide, and encourage you throughout the entire counseling process. I will work with you to set and achieve goals, process feelings/experiences, and identify and use your strengths. I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and tailor my theoretical approach to each individual client using a combination of CBT, DBT, strengths-based, and solution-focused techniques.
