Janika Leary

Janika Leary is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree in Social Work from North Carolina Central University. She developed a passion for helping others improve their lives from a young age and has since dedicated herself to providing support to individuals of all ages dealing with psychological challenges. With extensive experience in mental health therapies and crisis response services, Janika utilizes evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Her goal is to assist clients in gaining insight, developing problem-solving skills, and regulating emotions. Janika is particularly skilled in helping clients process negative thought patterns that impact their quality of life and providing psychoeducation on reconstructing thoughts to gain new perspectives. Inspired by therapist Amy Morin’s quote, “Time doesn’t heal anything, it’s how we deal with that time that determines the speed at which we heal,” Janika takes pride in empowering clients to become the experts of their own lives. She believes that seeking therapy is a courageous and committed choice, and she is honored to be a partner in her clients’ healing processes. Janika looks forward to meeting clients where they are in their journey and utilizing individualized treatment approaches to help them achieve their desired outcomes.
