Jason Shaw is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with a background in crisis counseling. With 3 years of experience as a licensed therapist, Jason’s expertise extends to working with children, having spent 8 years as an elementary school teacher and 6 years in day care centers. He graduated from Hardin Simmons University in 2012 with a Masters in Counseling and Human Development. Jason is trained in Mental Health First Aid, specifically focused on assisting individuals expressing feelings of self-harm or suicide. Through his work with a non-profit organization, he has provided support to biological and adoptive families in coping with trauma and healing. As someone of mixed race, Jason understands the challenges of forging one’s own path.
