Welcome to Better Help! My name is Jeannie, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Michigan. I earned my Master of Social Work degree, specializing in Interpersonal Practice, from Wayne State University in 2013. I’ve worked in a variety of settings with individuals and families who have a range of personal issues such as stress/anxiety, depression, family problems, relationships, parenting concerns, life transitions, mental health disorders, trauma, and more. I feel that one of the most important aspects of getting help is having a connection and trust with the person you select to share your inner most personal challenges. I would like to be that person for you. My counseling style is gentle, compassionate, engaging and non-judgmental. I am culturally sensitive. I focus on you and what you have to say to help you move forward. I utilize a blend of Evidence Based Therapies such as Client Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you become empowered and find your inner strength. I am passionate about your success in therapy. I will ensure to personalize our conversations and treatment plan to meet your specific needs and desires. Together, we will find your way. I have found it beneficial to clients to be able to have access to their therapist when needed in addition to a regular schedule. Some weeks are just tougher than others. I usually check messages twice each day, seven days per week. I offer live chat, phone sessions, and messaging.
