Jeff (Jeffery) Thompson

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in North Carolina with over 13 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and life coach. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients coping with a range of issues including PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and ADHD. I have also helped athletes, musicians and actors toward peak performance. My counseling style is friendly, authentic, and warm. I strongly believe that everyone is fundamentally healthy and whole, and that therapy is about uncovering this fundamental health, not about focusing on pathology. I treat the person, not the “disease.” My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, body-centered, contemplative, and psychodynamic approaches. When appropriate, I sometimes use EMDR and clinical hypnosis. I will tailor my approach based on what I feel is appropriate for you.
