Hello! My name is Jessica, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Michigan. I have been in practice for 5 years, and have worked in both private practice, outpatient facility, and non-profit settings. I work with a wide variety of populations, but I specialize in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, LGBTQIA+ informed therapy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, grief, and life transitions. I work with adolescents and adults. I use an eclectic framework to approach therapy, and always work from a client-based approach. My counseling style is warm and supportive, and I strive to provide you with the safe space needed for you to be able to fully explore yourself and your concerns. I am action-oriented, and enjoy using cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and mindfulness techniques in order to begin addressing things are causing you distress so that you may effectively cope in your day-to-day life. I will work at a pace that is most comfortable for you, and appreciate any and all feedback during the counseling process. I find that taking the first steps towards creating change requires great courage. The path to change requires a lot of reflection and self-assessment, and I respect this process greatly. I look forward to taking this journey with you!
