Jessica "Jessi" Hurley

Hello! My name is Jessi Hurley and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Kentucky. I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from the University of Louisville and have 11 years of experience working as a therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma/abuse, behavioral issues, family/parenting problems, intellectual disabilities and more. My experience is varied across settings. I have provided group, individual and family therapy in residential treatment programs, community mental health centers, and school settings. I would describe my approach as client centered and goal oriented. I believe that clients are the experts on their lives and must drive the direction of therapy. I utilize multiple treatment modalities to guide clients in identifying strengths and developing treatment plans that accomplish the goals they have set for themselves. With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I assist clients in changing thought patterns to reduce stress, cope with relationships, deal with grief and face other life challenges. Through Motivational Interviewing, I assist clients in eliciting behavior change by helping to explore and resolve ambivalence. I firmly believe that therapy should be a time and place where you feel safe and comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. I will provide you with support and understanding to help you achieve your goals. I enjoy helping individuals and families meet their desired goals and I would be delighted to help you reach yours.
