Jodana Varilek

JoDana Varilek, MSW, LCSW, LSSW, LCWS, is a passionate therapist with over twenty years of experience in improving the quality of life for her clients. She has worked with individuals of all ages, including young children, adolescents, and adults, who have faced emotional, behavioral, medical, and learning challenges. Jodie has utilized various forms of psychotherapy in a range of settings, such as residential facilities, hospitals, agencies, schools, university clinics, and private practice. Her counseling expertise extends to trauma, grief and loss, abuse, depression, anxiety, learning difficulties, behavioral outbursts, divorce, relationship issues, and self-harm, among other areas. Jodie is experienced in providing individual, family, and marital therapy. She approaches counseling as a collaborative learning process, building respect and trust to establish a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients. Jodie’s sessions incorporate creative elements like play therapy, yoga, art, and movement, alongside talk therapy, to actively engage her clients. She is dedicated to meeting her clients where they are in their learning and therapeutic journey to help them achieve their therapy goals. Jodie earned her bachelor’s degree in Child & Family Services and Psychology from Iowa State University
