Joseph Magallanes (LPC)

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with 6 years of experience helping clients through difficult life changes, grief, depression, and anxiety. I center my care within openness and compassion so that we may work together as you learn to care for yourself, and explore what brings meaning into your life. I primarily rely on the theory of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, but also incorporate Narrative Therapy, and other creative outlets such as writing prompts, and inner-child work in collaboration with my clients. I have experience working with persons who identify as queer or a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I specialize in providing care to clients who need support for bereavement, as well as non-death related losses such as the loss of job, relationship, and other personal losses.
